GeneXus is a Low-Code Business Platform for software development, powered by Artificial Intelligence, which simplifies and automates the tasks of creating, evolving and maintaining business applications and IT systems. It helps companies create better applications, in the easiest way possible, by simplifying software development and process computerization.

GeneXus raised the need to be able to develop a new application generator, specifically mini-programs for WeChat. This generator had to be based on the current architecture of the Angular generator. In order to fulfill the request, our team needed to train on different technologies and architectures and implement the new app builder.

After 10 months of intense work, the new mini-program generator for WeChat was developed and integrated into GeneXus. The new generator for GeneXus allows a programmer to implement an application in Angular, Android or iOS and easily compile for WeChat without the need to make changes. A large number of examples have been documented and are publicly available for other developers to easily develop mini-apps for the WeChat platform.
