URSEC is the Regulatory Unit of Communications Services of Uruguay, a public body responsible for regulating and supervising telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services, ensuring quality, accessibility, and competition. With transparency and independence, it promotes development, competition, and the protection of users and consumers, strengthening its regulatory and control role for the benefit of the public interest.


The Challenge:

URSEC is currently facing a significant challenge: the lack of efficiency in the analysis process of national music playback times and the duration of advertising spots on radio and television. This analysis, crucial for ensuring quality, accessibility, and competitiveness in the media, is currently done manually, leading to excessive consumption of time and resources. This situation not only hinders the work of URSEC but can also affect the effectiveness of regulations and compliance with quality standards in services. 
The need to modernize this process through technological solutions that allow for faster, more accurate, and efficient analysis, led URSEC to request a technological tool that intelligently facilitates its regulatory and control work.

The Solution:

DigitalProjex participated in the development of a web application that integrates an artificial intelligence algorithm for the analysis of digital signals. This algorithm uses deep learning techniques to analyze audio signals, allowing for the management and control of national music playback times and the duration of advertising spots on radio and television. This automated solution offers continuous control over a wide range of signals, in a scalable manner and without high operational costs. By using advanced machine learning techniques and signal analysis, the application automatically classifies and divides the content of audio and video signals. From capturing to generating statistics and compliance alerts, the solution provides detailed information, including hourly advertising statistics and the percentage of national music broadcasted.
